Antigen Swab Testing
What is an Antigen Swab Test?
Antigen tests detect viral proteins called antigens which are present in the COVID-19 virus. The antigens detected are identified only when the virus is actively replicating.
How does Antigen Test work?
Sample collection: A throat swab collects infected cells from the point of contact.
Detection: Chemicals fragment the virus and then antibodies attached to a test-plate detect these fragments
What the test tells you: If you are infected now. This is why such tests are best used to identify currently infected people.
Why choose Antigen Swab Testing?
The advantages of using Antigen Swab Tests are:
Rapid detection of new coronavirus in 15 minutes
Single rapid detection of the virus
Suitable for monitoring novel coronavirus & pneumonia
Faster and cheaper than molecular tests

RAPID ANTIBODY TESTING
These antibody tests are important for establishing who has had the virus, especially because many people infected seem to show no symptoms (asymptomatic carriers), and to confirm hospital discharge.
This test diagnoses active coronavirus infection and shows if you have ever had COVID-19 or were infected with the coronavirus in the past. This test is typically highly accurate and usually does not need to be repeated.
Clungene Rapid Antigen Test Kit
• The COVID Antigen test is capable of identifying COVID-19 in symptomatic and asymptomatic patients in as little as 15 minutes.
• The COVID Antigen test provides immediate detectability of COVID-19 antibody (test line T) and goat anti-mouse IgG (control line C) immobilized on a nitrocellulose strip.
• The COVID Antigen test is similar to performing a rapid strep or flu test and is currently validated for nasopharyngeal samples.
This test kit is a clinically-assisted diagnosis and provides only a preliminary test result for COVID-19 infection.
The difference between using a machine and a non-machine for providing antigen test results is that we get much quicker results with the former than the latter.
Our antigen machine gives less discomfort to the client when extracting a sample from the nose or throat.
